Alcune considerazioni sui concetti europei di razza, dal Rinascimento in poi

Maria Thereza Alves

Abstract

Some Considerations about European Concepts of Race since the Renaissance. Maria Thereza Alves offers the point of view of a Brazilian artist of Amerindian origins on the relationship between Europe and the rest of the world. The persistence of Eurocentrism, the artist suggests, should be overcome by a new cultural perspective that puts at the centre the peoples that are victims of a centuries-old colonialism.
