ENTANGLEMENTS International Summer School – Postcolonial Futures and New Futurisms – University of Padua, Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies

Registration is now open for the second edition of ENTANGLEMENTS, the International Summer School of the University of Padua. From July 7 to 11, 2025, we invite undergraduate and master’s students, PhD students, young researchers and anyone interested to an immersive cultural experience in post- and decolonial futures and the most recent literary futurisms (Afrofuturism, Africanfuturism, Indigenous futurisms, Latin American futurisms), for a dialogue with outstanding guests such as Igiaba Scego, waaseya’sin Christine Sy, Ana Llurba…

2023:
From June 26-June 30, a summer school will be held in Coimbra, Portugal entitled “Endangered Theories: Standing by Critical Race Theory in the Age of Ultra-Violence (2nd Edition).”
The deadline for applications in January 15, 2023. The summer school will host a plethora of expert guest speakers and address questions such as anti-colonialism, racial capitalism, abolitionism, intersectionality, and queer settler colonial studies.
